Speaking is the one of the four skills in a learning language after listening. In learning a language, the learners will learn by listen the language first. It will make the learners used to with the language itself. After they feel comfortable and used to with the sound of the language, they will try to speak up. Begin by repeating the words then give their responses to everything what they listen before. In our curricula, it is called speaking cycle. Both of the listening and speaking, related each other in learning process.
There are so many activities that can be used in teaching speaking. Each activity has different purposes. Not only the purposes but the differences also appeared in the object of teaching itself. The activities that is going to be applied in young learners will be different with the activities that is going to be applied for Junior or Senior High School.
So, the teachers have to be very proficient and careful in choosing the activities that they are going to use in teaching speaking.

I guess you know that the pig said hi to you, but you don't know the name of the pig, do you?
Then, you answer the third question, you give the general information about the pig. For example you mentioned that the pig has pink skin color, the pig likes bath in the mud, or moslem is banned to eat it. What you have been done is making a report text. You give the general information of the pig. The informations are suit to all pigs in this word. It will be different in this case:

Okay, do you know him? Do you know his name? Can you tell me about him?
In answering those questions in figure 2, I guess you will answer it by "His name is piglet. He is the friend of Winnie The Pooh. He is small and thin. He wears the strip pink shirt, and so on." You don't give us the general information about something, you describe the Piglet not the pig. It called Descriptive text. Now you know the difference with report and descriptive text.
We will go to our speaking business, presenting report text.
